Instant Pot Apple Cider

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year and one of my favorite drinks is apple cider. This year I decided to try a new twist on it and make it in my favorite instant pot (you can check it out here.)

Ingredients:

7 apples, cored & quartered, red and green mixed

1 lemon, peeled and cut into segments

1 orange, peeled and cut into segments

½ cup fresh cranberries

3 cinnamon sticks

½ tsp. whole cloves

Enough water to cover fruit

½ cup coconut sugar

Instructions:

1. Place apples, orange, lemon,  cranberries, cinnamon sticks & cloves into instant pot and cover with water.

2. Place the lid on the instant pot and cook on high pressure for 15 min. Allow naturally to release or you can do a quick release after waiting for 10 min.

3. Mash the fruit with a potato masher.

4. Strain the solids from the liquids.  Discard solids and place the liquid in an airtight container.  Stays good for 1 week.

Want to make an adult version?  Add a shot of liquor to your drink to spice it up a bit!  My personal favorites are whiskey, rum or sparkling wine!  Enjoy!
